Working with your groups! (It's a skill, people. Let's get good at it.)

Today's Goal: Narrow down your topic and begin to do some research. Gather information about organizations that you could support in your PSA, and confer with Ms. Black about your general plan.

The Plan:

Use reading time as a way to center and prepare yourself for the day. It's good for your brain.
Work on your PSA Proposal. By the end of today, you should have "Step 1" completed, at the very least. Make sure you are communicating with each other so that you are all participating.

Homework:

Work on your PSA Plan/Proposal/etc. with your group.
Book Love Book Review due November 16

A Note: Your essay grades are going in this evening, along with your vocab quizzes. Sorry for the delay. I couldn't get to them on Friday like I intended.

Gradebook Explained

My grade book is on School Loop for you to view. There are some things you need to know that will hopefully clarify some things.

I = Incomplete, and may not be made up. An I is worth 30% of the total points available for an assignment. This is a department criteria and policy.

M = Missing, and should be made up or turned in for at least partial credit. The assignment is worth a zero until the work is completed.

Ab = Absent, and should be made up or turned in in a timely manner. The assignment is worth a zero until the work is completed.

Blank scores mean I have not graded it yet.

Zeroes occur when students do not turn in assignments that they are expected to submit. Regardless of when it is due, students are expected to complete the assignment.

Sometimes a score given on a minor assignment is not ideal. For students willing to put in the work, they are welcome to talk with me about redoing certain assignments.
