If Piggy Had an Instagram....

We really only have two goals today:

CLICK HERE for the activity instructions/powerpoint document. You WILL need to make a copy for you to work on. Follow the directions on the slide so that you are doing it correctly.

The purpose of this activity is to begin to look at how Golding presents his characters, and how they change over time. Can you put yourself in the character's shoes, and view the story through his eyes?

Homework:

Finish your Instagram "feed" by the time you walk into class tomorrow
GET YOUR MISSING WORK TO ME (if there is a ZERO, DO IT.)
Read your book love book (Literacy Letter on Thursday. You should be about halfway by tomorrow.)
Read chapter 8 for Thursday
LUS Vocab Practice due TOMORROW

Gradebook Explained

My grade book is on School Loop for you to view. There are some things you need to know that will hopefully clarify some things.

I = Incomplete, and may not be made up. An I is worth 30% of the total points available for an assignment. This is a department criteria and policy.

M = Missing, and should be made up or turned in for at least partial credit. The assignment is worth a zero until the work is completed.

Ab = Absent, and should be made up or turned in in a timely manner. The assignment is worth a zero until the work is completed.

Blank scores mean I have not graded it yet.

Zeroes occur when students do not turn in assignments that they are expected to submit. Regardless of when it is due, students are expected to complete the assignment.

Sometimes a score given on a minor assignment is not ideal. For students willing to put in the work, they are welcome to talk with me about redoing certain assignments.
